New training series on clinical management of rape and intimate partner violence in humanitarian contexts

The World Health Organization (WHO) is launching a new training series on the clinical management of sexual and intimate partner violence in humanitarian contexts. The five-part course series is in English. It is aimed at health workers. They can build their skills and acquire new knowledge in this area. Each of the one-hour courses can be scheduled at any time. Participants can complete the courses self-paced. The videos, presentations and case studies are available online. Each course has individual focus topics.

WHO recommends this course sequence:

  1. Introduction to the clinical management of rape and intimate partner violence in humanitarian settings
  2. Mental health and psychosocial support: Clinical management of rape and intimate partner violence in humanitarian settings
  3. Management of intimate partner violence in humanitarian settings
  4. First-line support: Clinical management of rape and intimate partner violence in humanitarian settings
  5. Clinical management of rape

Participation is free of charge after prior registration. Upon completion of a course, participants receive the respective certificate.
