At the World Health Summit 2021 (WHS), leading representatives from science, politics, civil society and industry will exchange ideas in a hybrid format, in Berlin and digitally. This year's conference will take place from October 24-26, 2021. It is under the patronage of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emanuel Macron, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and World Health Organization (WHO) Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
Areas of focus include access to vaccine as a public good, strengthening the EU's role in global health, as well as the intersection of Covid19 and mental health. In addition, other key topics include developments in artificial intelligence in global health and lessons learned from the Covid19 spread for future pandemic prevention.
