Further Information

The German Poverty and Health Congress invites interested parties to submit proposals for the coming year by Friday, 20 August 2021. The congress, which claims to be the largest public health event in Germany, will take place annually; the next time will be from 22 to 24 March 2022 in Berlin. The motto will be "What matters now." The organisers are planning a digital format with opportunities for face-to-face meetings, adapted to further developments in the Corona pandemic.

The two-day congress will explore the links between poverty and health in relation to many factors, including health and climate and global health. It serves as a platform for actors from politics, science, health care, practice and self-help who want to exchange ideas on topics and research results on health inequalities. The congress is organised by Gesundheit Berlin-Brandenburg e.V. in cooperation with the German Society for Public Health e.V., the Berlin School of Public Health, the Technical University of Berlin, the Health Economics Centre Berlin, the Institute for Vocational Education and Training and other partners.

Information on the congress and specifically the call for abstracts can be found on the homepage.
